We pride ourselves on having the most up to date facilities and equipment to help us diagnose and treat your beloved pets.

Our facilities include modern consultation rooms with advanced diagnostic and radiography equipment, as well as a sterile operating theatre with modern anaesthetic and monitoring tools. We also have our own laboratory and dental suite. Also, you can rest assured that your pets are well looked after in our in-patient kennels that provide comfortable accommodation for recuperating pets with compassionate care from our dedicated vets, nurses, and care assistants.

In addition, we also offer not just a 24 hour out of hours service, but also a high dependency/ICU ward for critically ill patients or very high dependency patients.

Our dedication and high standards of clinical service as well as client and patient care have been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and we are now also an accredited RCVS veterinary practice.

Spacious reception area

We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for both our clients and their pets. We have a large, light and airy reception area which ensures you can speak to one of our friendly reception team members in a relaxed setting.

Our Walter Leigh Way Practice is the big sister to our Twist Lane site. We have designed the practice to be easily accessible, light, comfortable and comforting.

Car Parking

Our practice offers large, easily accessible free car parking for our clients.

Dog Waiting area

This practice has a large dog waiting area with lots of comfy seating available.

Cat and Rabbit Waiting Area

We know just how important it is to reduce stress during visits to our practice – especially for our smaller patients. We have a lovely separate waiting area for our cats and rabbits away from the sight and sound of any dogs. Equipped with cosy seating and stands for baskets, we adhere to IFSM guidelines to ensure a stress-free experience.

Dedicated Cat Consulting Rooms

Our cat and rabbit waiting area leads straight into 2 cat consulting rooms ensuring your smaller pets have as pleasant a visit as possible.

Dedicated Dog Consulting Rooms

We have 4 consulting rooms in which we can see our canine patients in comfort.

Quiet Room

We have a lovely quiet room at our Walter Leigh Way site, designed to be a relaxing, quiet space which is available for those wishing to visit their pets should they need to stay with us overnight.

We have dedicated this room to Sushi – a much loved and never forgotten patient who is sadly no longer with us.

Surgical Suite

We have 3 sterile theatres within our WLW practice along with a large treatment and preparation area. This allows us to provide excellent surgical facilities for routine and non-routine (complex) surgical cases and orthopaedics.

Dental Suite

Our designated dental area with specialist dental equipment allows us to perform variety of treatments for periodontal disease and preventative treatments. Most dental procedures require animals to be anaesthetised, and our dental suite allows this. We are equipped to perform dental procedures on dogs, cats and rabbits.

Radiography Facilities

We are proud to boast a fantastic digital Xray machine which allows us to take images of your pets and obtain the results rapidly should the need arise.

Species Specific Kennel Rooms

Should your pet need to stay with us for the day or even overnight you can rest assured that their comfort is our priority along with their medical needs.

We have dedicated dog, cat and rabbit/small animal kennels which means that different species are kept away from the sight, sound and smell of other species. This helps reduce stress levels in our inpatients. We use species specific pheromones in our dog and cat wards to further help reduce stress – and lots of cuddles of course!

Isolation Facilities

Sometimes our patients are suffering from contagious conditions, and we can care for them in our isolation area, thereby protecting them and our other patients as much as possible.

Laboratory

We have a laboratory area giving us the ability to perform blood tests on-site – results can be available in as little as 15 minutes. We also have a microscope which plays a critical part in dermatological and many other examinations, along with other smaller more specialised pieces of equipment which allow us to perform a wide range of tests, including urine tests, skin tests etc on-site.

For some, more specialised, tests it may be necessary to send samples to a dedicated animal laboratory. With our modern in-house laboratory, we can obtain results the very same day. This is very important especially when treating our critical and/or overnight patients.

High Dependency Ward/ICU Ward

We offer not just a 24 hour out of hours service, but also a high dependency/ICU ward for critically ill patients or very high dependency patients.
