More about Caroline BVetMed MRCVS
I decided to open my own practice in order to provide the high standards of quality and care every pet and their owner deserves, and am proud to have had the opportunity to do so with my best friend and husband Lloyd Davies.
I have a strong interest in all aspects of veterinary care especially in dermatology, rabbit medicine and surgery, acupuncture, and chronic pain management in our pets.
I live with my husband, Lloyd Davies; son, Lewys; and our every expanding pet family (4 cats – Freddie, Bicky, Shift and Striper; dog Archie, and newly acquired tropical fish). Although we have no rabbits at the present time, Kay Waugh from Bunny Hop Rescue is trying hard to rectify the situation!
Lloyd Davies

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1998, where I met Caroline on the first Friday of the first week of the five year course.
I spent my first 7 years as a vet working in mixed (large and small animal) practices, before concentrating on small animal medicine and surgery. I then spent 5 years working nights in a dedicated emergency medicine practice before deciding to open my own practice with my wife Caroline.
I have a strong interest in all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, and especially enjoy dermatology, as well as soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
I live with my wife, son and our mad pet family consisting of 4 cats, bonkers dog and tropical fish at this present time – but who knows who will be joining us in the future!

I enjoy all aspects of first opinion and emergency medicine, but have developed a keen interest in surgery and have recently been expanding my orthopaedic surgery skills. I also have a degree in Veterinary pathology, so I can often be found looking at samples under the microscope.
I am a volunteer vet for PAWS (Paxos Animal Welfare Society), based on the Greek Island of Paxos, which I try to visit annually to assist with the neutering of stray animals and provide on-island emergency treatment.
When I’m not working I can be found bouldering, rock climbing, hiking or travelling. At home I have an elderly cat called Kyle.

Finally, after years of hard work, I graduated from Glasgow University as a vet in 2017.
After graduating I decided that I wanted to try somewhere different, so came exploring down to Manchester where I found my first official job in ‘My Pets Vets’.
Have absolutely loved it from the first moment I spent here with such a friendly and supportive team. I have never met such a vibrant, dedicated and caring group of people who I look forward to continuing to work with, doing our best for all of your pets!
I currently live just outside of Manchester with a friend and my old cat Gladis, who I couldn’t resist adopting after finding out she was alone and looking for a home when I moved here. I spend most of my free time seeing friends, watching films, going for walks and ‘attempting’ to visit the gym….
Will hopefully see you around the practice at some point!

I have stayed here ever since and joined My Pets Vets in December 2017 where I am particularly enjoying pursuing my interests in small animal medicine and ultrasonography. I am currently undertaking a post graduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine which is both very interesting and rewarding.
I live with my Prestonian fiance, Craig and our three pets. We got engaged in Disney World in September 2018 and are enjoying planning our wedding although I’m doing most of the planning!
Together we have a very friendly but very energetic 8 month old Border Terrier named Matilda, a geriatric long-suffering cat named Muffin and our newest feline addition, Bramble.

In My Pets Vets I do only night shifts, because my area of interest is Emergency and Critical Care.
I love to learn new stuff that’s why in my spare time I try to accommodate more advanced techniques and improve the skills I have already learnt.
When I am not working, I try to travel as much as it’s possible. Travelling is my true passion. I’m the type of a person who can’t stay at home so you will usually find me at the gym, spending time with family and friends or playing with my Frenchies – Angelina and Joey.

I am originally from southern Ireland and qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2014. After spending some time in Shropshire and on the Wirral I joined the MPV team in early 2018.
I love all things surgical and I’m at my happiest in theatre. I have a keen interest in brachycephalic surgery and I get a huge satisfaction in seeing an improvement in my patient’s lives.
I live locally with my fiance and our dogs Jasper the whippet, Twiglet the patterdale terrier mix and Loki the lurcher puppy as well as Izzy the cat who is the boss of them all! Both Twiglet and Loki have come home though work and I love the ability to give a rescued (and in Twig’s case an abused) animal a second chance.
Our Veterinary Nursing Team
“Veterinary nursing is the supportive care of animals receiving treatment within a veterinary practice. A veterinary nurse works as a member of the veterinary team, providing expert nursing care for sick animals.
Veterinary nurses also play a significant role in educating owners on maintaining the health of their pets. They carry out technical work and are skilled in undertaking a range of diagnostic tests, medical treatments and minor surgical procedures, under veterinary direction.”

I was offered the position of Head Nurse in June 2018 which has provided me with a whole new challenge of both management and clinical nursing work. My favourite aspects of being a veterinary nurse are anaesthesia and surgical nursing, and being an in house clinical coach for trainee nurses.
Outside of work I have 2 old cats of my own, Eddie and Gizmo, who are both quite elderly.

From day one of working at the practice I knew I’d made the right choice and after just a few weeks I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity of becoming an SVN and started my training at ProCo in September 2015.
I absolutely love the time I spend with the patients and thanks to the help from my colleagues I am learning new skills every day.
All of the team at MPV are so supportive and I couldn’t be more grateful to Caroline and Lloyd for giving me this opportunity. I qualified as a RVN in 2018.

I started working as a veterinary nurse in 2007. I qualified in 2010 and moved to the Manchester area in 2011 to help look after a relative. Whilst here I met my husband Dave and we now have two lovely little boys Alex and Phillip.
I started at My Pets Vets in July after returning from maternity leave.
I have a passion for wound management and have completed a course to give me the best knowledge on how to help your pet heal as quickly as possible. I also enjoy emergency and critical care and have worked in practices specialising in this field.
I love to teach and be taught and so have a keen interest in teaching our student nurses whilst also starting a medical nursing certificate to further my knowledge and better help your pets.

Caroline always takes time to get to know the pet and its owner which is just a quality you don’t find very often. I started working for Caroline at My Pets Vets in 2012 and feel over that time I have built up great relations with many of our regular clients.
Outside of work I run Bunny Hop Rescue, a sanctuary where we care for a very large number of abandoned rabbits. Bunny Hop Rescue started in November 2001 when I got a phone call asking me to take in a rabbit whose owners had moved and left him behind with a few other rabbits, unfortunately this rabbit was the only survivor but needed ongoing treatment for teeth and eye problems. Then I seemed to get phone call after phone call for rabbits that had become unwanted or even mistreated, and that is when Bunny Hop Rescue began.

I have always had a passion for animals so when Caroline, Lloyd and Pippa gave me an opportunity to achieve my goal; I jumped at the chance. This role is fulfilling to me both personally and professionally. I am so grateful to be part of a company which helps so many people and animals on a daily basis.
In my spare time I like to bake, go shopping and go out socialising with friends. I enjoy going to the gym, swimming and trying to keep fit. In 2018, I became a qualified scuba diver in Thailand when I went travelling; this was an amazing experience .
I love to see new places and experience the beauty, food and people of different cultures. I consider myself confident and to have a good sense of humour. I love working with the My Pets Vets team, they are like a second family to me.

I have been working with My Pets Vets since February 2017 and loved every moment! Caroline and Lloyd are such brilliant people to work for. More like work Mum and Dad rather than bosses (not many places you can say that about).
I work on reception at My Pets Vets and really enjoy it. I have worked in customer facing roles since 2002.
