24/7 ON-SITE EMERGENCY CARE

Our busy first opinion 24hr Veterinary Hospital, based in Leigh near Manchester requires an enthusiastic veterinary care assistant to help during the day.

Variable shift patterns available working 10 hours shifts from 7am to latest 8pm with a share of 1 in 5 weekends.  The role is 40 hrs per week over 4 days allowing for a great work life balance.

You will be working alongside our dedicated and experienced teams of Vets and Nurses.

Job responsibilities include assisting in theatre, which would include cleaning and preparing theatres for surgical procedures, cleaning and sterilising surgical instruments, stocking consumables in preparation areas and assisting theatre staff. Candidates must be competent at handling a variety of species.

The role also includes maintaining cleanliness across the reception area, consultation rooms and dispensary area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Veterinary Hospital with the possibility of further training and education.

Previous work experience of 12 months within a Veterinary Practice is required. Formal Veterinary Care Assistant Qualification and Training is preferred but not essential.

Salary to be discussed on interview and dependent on experience.
